ARI Arrested in Kendrapara for Taking ₹12,000 Bribe
Kendrapara, 25 Nov 2025:Odisha Vigilance today caught Sri Abhimanyu Behera, Assistant Revenue Inspector, Nikirei R.I Circle, Derabish Tahsil, accepting a bribe of ₹12,000 from a landowner seeking conversion of agricultural land to homestead land.The bribe was demanded in exchange for a favourable verification report. The entire amount was recovered, and simultaneous searches are ongoing at the accused’s locations.Case Registered: Cuttack Vigilance P.S. Case No. 33/2024 under Section 7 of the PC (Amendment) Act, 2018. Investigation is in progress.
