IIC Nabbed by Vigilance While Taking Bribe in Koraput
Dasamantpur, December 18:Odisha Vigilance today arrested Smt. Sukma Hansdah, Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) of Dasamantpur Police Station in Koraput district, while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹20,000.
According to sources, the bribe was demanded to submit a case diary in court in connection with an earlier case. Acting on a complaint, Vigilance officials laid a trap and caught the IIC red-handed.
The entire tainted money was recovered and seized.A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act at Koraput Vigilance Police Station. Further investigation is in progress.
