Abdul Rahman Murdered Inside Faridabad Jail
Ayodhya: Abdul Rahman, who had been jailed for allegedly plotting an attack on the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, was killed inside Neemka District Jail in Faridabad, Haryana, late Sunday night.According to officials, Rahman was attacked by a fellow inmate inside the barracks using a sharp, stone-like object. He suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Police have registered a murder case against the accused inmate, identified as Arun Chaudhary, and an investigation is underway. Jail authorities said the incident occurred around 10:30 PM following a dispute between inmates that quickly turned violent.Abdul Rahman was a resident of Majnai village under Inayatnagar police station in Ayodhya district, originally from the Milkipur area.
He was arrested in March 2025 from Pali in Faridabad during a joint operation by Gujarat ATS and Haryana STF. Investigating agencies had alleged his involvement in a conspiracy to attack the Ram Temple, and explosive materials, including grenades, were reportedly recovered at the time of his arrest.
