OSRTC Bus Catches Fire on Salur Ghat; All Passengers Safe
Salur, Nov 6: An OSRTC bus traveling from Visakhapatnam to Jeypore caught fire this morning while ascending the Salur Ghat. Preliminary reports suggest that a short circuit triggered the blaze.
According to sources, the alert driver noticed smoke and quickly stopped the vehicle, allowing all five passengers, the driver, and the conductor to safely evacuate before the flames engulfed the bus.Despite their timely escape, the bus was completely gutted by fire on the roadside. Fire service personnel were informed, and local authorities are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause.No casualties or injuries have been reported.
