Salute to a Braveheart Martyr Ishwar Talia Cremated with Full Military Honours

MARTYR ISHWAR TALIA LAID TO REST WITH FULL MILITARY HONORS

Koraput, Odisha – Thousands gathered to pay their last respects to Shaheed Ishwar Talia, a brave young LD officer from Boipariguda block, who made the ultimate sacrifice during a practice firing session in Pokhran, Rajasthan.

Martyr Ishwar Talia, a resident of Badaguda village, was honored with a guard of honor in Chandigarh before his mortal remains were brought back to his native village. The funeral procession was a grand affair, attended by over 5,000 people, including several dignitaries such as Chairman and MLA of Koraput, Shri Raghuram Macho, Shri Rupu Bhatra, Sri V Kreethi Vasan, Collector of Koraput, Shri Rohit Verma, SP of Koraput, and Shri Abhimanyu Kabi Satpathy, BDO of Boipariguda.

Talia joined the Indian Army in 2011 and was serving in the 46 Army Armored Regiment in Jammu. He, along with two other soldiers, Ashutosh Mishra from UP and Jitendra Kumar from Rajasthan, lost their lives in the tragic incident on December 18.

The martyr’s family and loved ones were overcome with grief, but took pride in his sacrifice for the nation. The government has announced compensation and benefits for the family.

Talia’ sacrifice will not be forgotten, and he will be remembered as a hero who laid down his life for the country.
